FRESH* SHEETS HOSTEL DUBROVNIK OLD TOWN

Fresh* Sheets is a small hostel located in the heart of the historical walled old town of Dubrovnik. Run by a friendly Croatian/Canadian couple, Fresh* Sheets is one of the only hostels in Dubrovnik that offers guests the unique experience of actually living inside the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Fresh* Sheets is situated in a quiet neighbourhood, steps away from a famous cliff-side bar, and a secret swimming hole where you can enjoy sunbathing on the rocks and cliff-jumping into the clear blue Adriatic Sea. All shops, bars, and restaurants are within five minutes walking distance.

During your stay with us, you'll enjoy free breakfast, internet and wi-fi access, a common area designed to make meeting other travelers easy, a book exchange, local travel information, happy hour drinks, and a secure safe environment. The Fresh* crew will be happy to provide you with insider tips on things to see and do in Dubrovnik and help make sure you avoid the tourist traps by giving you a list of our favourite places to eat and drink.

We also organize kayak trips, local tours, dog walks up Mt. Srdj, and cocktail bucket parties at local watering holes.

During the Peak Season months of May - September, it can get quite busy in Dubrovnik. We are often booked so it can be difficult to extend your stay. To avoid disappointment, we recommended that you book in advance.

WHAT WE OFFER

Fresh* Sheets is open from March 15th, 2011 to November 1st, 2011. The hostel offers a mix of basic budget accommodation in 4 bed and 8 bed dorms (our 8 bed dorms contain 4 bunk beds). We also have one cosy double room with sea views called 'Heaven' (it shares an entrance and bathroom with a 4 bed dorm). If you are looking for something more private, the hostel can help arrange for accommodation with neighbours who rent out single, double, and triple rooms with shared bathrooms in their private houses.

Before you book, please note that the historical Old Town is completely pedestrian and not accessible by public vehicle (if you have a vehicle, you can park in the Public Parking Garage). There are stairs everywhere. This is part of the Old Town's charm but can also come as quite a shock. Be prepared. If you have trouble walking or large roller luggage, you may want to consider looking for something outside of the Old Town. If you are traveling with children, we apologize but because of the communal arrangement of the dorms, the hostel has age restrictions. We can only accept guests who are eighteen years of age or older.

BOOK NEIGHBOURHOOD ROOMS

If dorm beds aren't your thing, we can arrange for accommodation with our neighbours. They rent single, double, and triple rooms in their private houses. These rooms are not part of Fresh* Sheets but are located just a short distance away and you are still welcome to use and enjoy our facilities during your stay. The rooms are basic and clean with shared bathrooms and unlike many places, the owners' register their guests and have government certification (necessary by law).
